For most of us we are betting that the future will get better.
In the past that would have meant more of everything.
But now?
The greatest gift we have is life itself.
And yet most people aren’t looking at the long game.
Living in the now is not the same as living (only) for now.
Too many people are putting things off for another day.
Our health won’t look after itself for very long.
Likewise our education doesn’t stop as soon as we leave School or University.
It’s a lifetime proposition.
When was the last time you did something brand new?
Or read a book that was out of your comfort zone?
Or read a poem?
Or did something for someone else without an agenda?
No one can predict with any degree of certainty what will happen to them in the next 10 years but we need to stop gambling with the most precious gift of all.
Life.
